What payment methods do you accept?
Lexiik accepts the following payment methods:
- Credit/debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Carte Bleue
- SEPA direct debit: For annual subscriptions (Eurozone only)
- PayPal: Available on all plans
- Bank transfer: Expert and Enterprise plans only (annual payment)

Do I need to provide a credit card for the Free plan?
No, the Free plan does not require any credit card. You can create your account and use Lexiik for free without providing any payment information.
A credit card is only required if you wish to upgrade to a paid plan or purchase additional AI credits.
Is my banking information secure?
Yes, Lexiik never stores your complete banking information. Here's how we protect your data:
- Tokenization: Stripe converts your card into a unique token. We only see the last 4 digits.
- TLS 1.3 encryption: All communications are end-to-end encrypted
- PCI-DSS Level 1: Stripe is certified at the highest level of banking security
- 3D Secure: Strong authentication to prevent fraud (mandatory in Europe)
My payment failed, what should I do?
If a payment fails, first check the following:
- Expired card: Check your card's expiration date
- Insufficient funds: Make sure you have the required balance
- Spending limit exceeded: Some cards have an online payment limit
- 3D Secure blocked: Complete the authentication in your bank's app
- Card declined by the bank: Contact your bank to authorize payments to Stripe/Lexiik

How many times does Lexiik retry a failed payment?
In case of a payment failure (subscription renewal), Lexiik performs 3 automatic retries:
- Attempt 1: Immediate (at the time of renewal)
- Attempt 2: D+2 (2 days after the failure)
- Attempt 3: D+5 (5 days after the failure)
You receive an alert email after each failure. If all 3 attempts fail, your account is suspended (read-only access) until the payment is resolved.
Billing and VAT
What VAT rate is applied?
The VAT rate depends on your billing country:

How do I add my intra-community VAT number?
To add your VAT number:
- Settings > Subscription > Billing information
- Fill in the "Intra-community VAT number" field
- Expected format: Country code + number (e.g.:
DE123456789,BE0123456789) - Click Verify: Lexiik automatically validates the number against VIES (European system)
- If valid, the 0% rate will be applied from the next invoice

When do I receive my invoice?
Invoices are generated and sent automatically:
- By email: Sent to the billing email address (or account email if not specified)
- Timing: Within 1 hour after payment (usually instant)
- Access: Available immediately in Settings > Subscription > Billing history
- Format: PDF compliant with French legal requirements
Can I modify an invoice that has already been issued?
No, an issued invoice cannot be modified (legal accounting obligation in France and the EU). However, you can:
- Correct your information in Settings > Billing for future invoices
- Request a credit note if the invoice contains an error (contact: [email protected])
- Receive a corrective invoice in case of an error on our part
How do I get an invoice in my company's name?
To have invoices issued in your company's name:
- Settings > Subscription > Billing information
- Fill in the following fields:
- Company name (full legal name)
- Billing address (registered office)
- SIRET number (France) or equivalent
- Intra-community VAT number (if applicable)
- Save: Future invoices will be issued in the company's name
Subscriptions and renewals
Are subscriptions renewed automatically?
Yes, all Lexiik subscriptions are set to automatic renewal. Your plan is automatically renewed at the end of each cycle (monthly or annual) until cancellation.
Example: You subscribe to the monthly Pro plan on January 15. Your card will be charged 99€ on the 15th of each following month, until you cancel.
You receive a reminder email 7 days before each renewal. You can cancel at any time from Settings > Subscription.
Can I change my billing date?
No, the billing date is set on the day of your first subscription and cannot be changed. Examples:
- If you subscribe on the 5th of the month → Billing on the 5th of each month
- If you subscribe on January 31 → Billing on the last day of each month (February 28/29, April 30, etc.)
Is the 14-day free trial truly commitment-free?
Yes, the 14-day trial is 100% commitment-free. Here's how it works:
- Day 1: You activate the free trial of a paid plan (Pro, Expert, etc.). Your card is saved but not charged.
- Day 7: Reminder email "You have 7 days left in your trial"
- Day 12: Reminder email "You have 2 days left in your trial"
- Day 15: If you haven't cancelled, the first payment is processed and the subscription begins
Important: If you cancel before Day 15, your card will never be charged. You can cancel from Settings > Subscription > Cancel trial.
Can I get multiple free trials?
No, the 14-day free trial is limited to once per account. Exceptions:
- You can try multiple plans (Pro then Expert) during the 14-day trial period
- If you had a trial more than 2 years ago, contact support for a new trial (case by case)
- Creating multiple accounts with the same credit card to multiply trials is prohibited (automatic detection)
Refunds and cancellations
What is your refund policy?
Lexiik applies a fair and transparent refund policy:

For approved refunds, the timelines are as follows:
- Credit card: 5-10 business days (depending on your bank)
- PayPal: 2-3 business days
- SEPA transfer: 2-5 business days
You receive a confirmation email as soon as the refund is initiated, with the amount and refund method.
I'm not satisfied, can I get a refund?
If you are not satisfied with Lexiik, contact our support before cancelling. We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee:
- Within 30 days of your first payment, if you are not satisfied, we will refund you in full
- No justification required: No need to explain why
- Refund within 5-10 days

How do AI credits work?
AI credits are Lexiik's "internal currency" for using artificial intelligence features. Each action consumes a certain number of credits:

Are unused credits rolled over?
No, monthly AI credits are reset to zero at the start of each billing cycle. They do not accumulate.
Example: You have a Pro plan (5,000 credits/month). You only use 3,000 in January. The remaining 2,000 are lost and your counter resets to 5,000 credits on February 1st.
Can I purchase additional credits?
Yes, if you exhaust your monthly credits before the end of the cycle, you can purchase additional credit packs:

- Right to erasure: Complete deletion of your data within 30 days upon request

Yes, Lexiik is compatible with all legal statuses:
