Manage Your Lexiik Account: Upgrade, Cancellation, and Billing

Last updated : February 9, 2026

Your Lexiik client area lets you fully manage your subscription: change plans, update your payment information, view your billing history, and cancel your account independently.

Quick access

All account management features are accessible from Settings > Subscription in your Lexiik dashboard.

Upgrade to a higher plan

The upgrade (switching to a higher plan) takes effect immediately after confirmation. You instantly benefit from the new limits and features.

Upgrade procedure

  1. 1
    Access settings

In your dashboard, click on your avatar (top right corner) > Settings > Subscription tab

  2. 2
    Select the new plan

In the "My current plan" section, click Change plan. A modal opens with all available plans.

  3. 3
    Review the prorated amount

Lexiik automatically calculates the proration: the remaining amount of your current subscription is deducted from the new plan. You only pay the difference.

  4. 4
    Confirm the upgrade

Click Confirm upgrade. Payment is processed immediately via your registered payment method.

  5. 5
    Verification

Your new plan is active! Verify that the new limits are displayed correctly (number of products, AI credits, etc.).

How does proration work?

Proration ensures you never pay twice for the same period. Here is a concrete example:

Calculation example

  • Current plan: Starter (49€/month), billed on the 1st of each month
  • Upgrade date: January 15 (mid-cycle)
  • New plan: Pro (99€/month)

Amount calculation

  • Remaining Starter credit: 49€ × (16 days / 31 days) = 25.16€
  • Pro cost for 16 days: 99€ × (16 days / 31 days) = 51.10€
  • Amount to pay immediately: 51.10€ - 25.16€ = 25.94€

Starting February 1st, you will be billed 99€/month (full Pro plan rate).

Success

The upgrade is immediate: as soon as payment is confirmed, all features of the new plan are unlocked (workflows, alerts, additional AI credits, etc.).

Downgrade to a lower plan

The downgrade (switching to a lower plan) takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You continue to benefit from your current plan until the renewal date.

Downgrade procedure

  1. 1
    Access settings

Settings > Subscription > Change plan

  2. 2
    Select the lower plan

Choose the plan you wish to downgrade to (example: Pro → Starter)

  3. 3
    Review the limits

Lexiik alerts you if you exceed the new plan's limits (number of products, stores, etc.). You will need to adjust before continuing.

  4. 4
    Confirm the downgrade

The change is scheduled for the end of your billing cycle. A confirmation email is sent to you.

Warning

When downgrading, you immediately lose access to features exclusive to the higher plan (automated workflows, alerts, full API) on the effective change date.

Managing limit overages

If you downgrade to a plan with fewer products/stores than you currently use, Lexiik asks you to choose which items to keep active:

Example: Downgrade Pro (3 stores) → Starter (1 store)

You currently manage 3 stores. During the downgrade, Lexiik asks you to select the store to keep active. The other 2 will be archived (data preserved, but synchronization disabled).

Update your payment information

You can update your credit card or payment method at any time.

Update procedure

  1. Settings > Subscription > "Payment method" section
  2. Click Update payment method
  3. Enter the new card information (number, expiration date, CVV)
  4. Click Save

Good to know

Payment information is encrypted and managed by our secure payment provider (Stripe). Lexiik never stores your banking data in plain text.

Accepted payment methods

  • Credit card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express
  • SEPA direct debit: For annual subscriptions (Europe only)
  • Bank transfer: Expert and Enterprise plans only (upon request)
  • PayPal: Available for all plans

What to do if a payment fails?

If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.), Lexiik:

  1. Sends you an alert email immediately
  2. Automatically retries the payment 3 times over 7 days (D+2, D+5, D+7)
  3. If all 3 attempts fail, your account is suspended (read-only access)

Warning

In case of suspension, you have 30 days to resolve your payment. After this period, your account is permanently closed and your data deleted (in compliance with GDPR).

  2. 2
    Confirm the cancellation

A modal opens asking you to confirm your decision. Lexiik reminds you of: the access end date (end of current cycle), the data that will be deleted, and the option to export your data before cancellation.

  4. 4
    Final confirmation

Click Confirm cancellation. A confirmation email is sent to you with the access end date.

Warning

Warning: Cancellation is irreversible. Your data will be permanently deleted 30 days after the access end date (in compliance with GDPR).
Remember to export your data before cancelling (audit reports, modification history, etc.).

What happens to your data?

Upon cancellation, here is the data deletion timeline:

  • Day 0 (end of cycle): Your Lexiik access is deactivated. You can no longer log in. Synchronizations with your store are stopped.
  • D+1 to D+30 (grace period): Your data is archived but not deleted. If you change your mind, contact support to reactivate your account (prorated refund if applicable).
  • D+30 (permanent deletion): All your data is permanently deleted from our servers (in accordance with the GDPR right to erasure). No recovery is possible.

Refund upon cancellation

Lexiik applies a fair refund policy:

  • Monthly subscription: No refund (you use the service until the end of the paid cycle)
  • Annual subscription: Pro-rata refund of unused months if cancelled before 6 months
  • Unused AI credits: Non-refundable (consumables)

Example: Cancelling an annual subscription

You paid for an annual Pro plan (99€ × 12 months × 0.8 = 950.40€ with 20% discount). You cancel after 3 months. Refund: 950.40€ × (9 months / 12 months) = 712.80€ refunded.

Reactivate a cancelled account

If you have cancelled your account and change your mind, you can reactivate it within 30 days of the cancellation date.

Reactivation procedure

  1. Contact Lexiik support at [email protected]
  2. Provide your account email and request reactivation
  3. Support reactivates your account within 24h (business days)
  4. You receive a confirmation email with a login link
  5. Choose a new plan (the previous one is not automatically reactivated)

Success

During the grace period (D+1 to D+30), all your data is fully preserved. After reactivation, you will find your account exactly as you left it.
